You've probably heard of Invisalign before, so what is it?

Invisalign is a series of clear aligners which slowly move displaced teeth into position without braces. They work by gently placing pressure on the teeth. This pressure over a series of two weeks moves the teeth slightly. Then after two weeks another aligner is placed which then moves the teeth more again. This process continues through the series of aligners until, after some time, the teeth have moved into the desired position.

How long does Invisalign treatment take with your Northbridge Dentist? The bottom line is, this depends on how much tooth movement is required. Treatment with Invisalign can be as little as a few months. For more complex cases, it is understandably longer.

What is the process to get Invisalign? A consultation with your Northbridge dentist is the first step. It is important to discuss your concerns and expectations. Following this the dentist will often require an x-ray (covered by Medicare), and then some impressions / scan and photographs of your teeth. At a subsequent appointment the dentist will help fit the aligners (often with some tooth coloured attachments) and then you're off and running!
